Start the Draft
This is for all of you who think that FDR ended the Great Depression by spending
more money.
Let's look at the facts.
In 1933 most of the people in the work force were men.
Unemployment was 25%, mostly men. So what happens?
World war two starts. The men get drafted.
The unemployment among men fell to less than 5%.
Women go in the the work force and many make goods for the war effort.
And the economy grows.
Than in 1942 we are out of the Great Depression. But still at war.
In today's money, the cost to the U.S. (for WW2)would be over
five trillion dollars (at 288 billion 1945 dollars)
My way of thinking is we start the draft up, men only.
That gets the unemployed men back to work.
And increase goods for the military.
And women making goods for
the military are working.
All you FDR fans said it worked than, why can't it work now?
How soon we forget that the Democrats have been in
control of Congress the last two years.
But still Bush get the blame for the down turn in the
economy.Democrats don't take the blame for anything.

In Europe, ‘church taxes’ not unusual

While many want to be like Europe, let us start a "church Tax".
It's not true that we need to raise taxes. What we need is to raise revenue.
Not the same thing.”— Keith Wolf
