Life is too Short

Life is too short

The last few weeks we have been grieving. Not over the political process. But over a family member passing away. It makes me wonder why we let politics and religion divide our relationship
with family and friends.
We just don't know how long we have to live.
It is not worth it!
It could happen to any of us at any time.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So, I will try to lighten up on the politics. For now.

I will not do as the Left has done to Bush.
IE.
I will not say Obama bought or stole the election.
I will not call Obama derogatory remarks.

I will not be dumpster diving for dirt like
some have done on Palin and "Joe the Plumber".

I will not do as the left has done to Palin, that is mock and belittle,
and fabricate lies.

I will not compare Obama to Jesus like some have done
in the national media.

I will not call for a national holiday for Obama like some have done.

I will not say Obama is the best ever president- elect, like some have.

I will
not accuse Obama of past drug use.

But what I will do is point out when I disagree with him.

Already Obama has done some good. He has nominated Hillary (and Bill) Clinton
as Secretary of State. I think she nominated her self. This should be interesting.
Bob Woodward the famed Washington Post reporter said, I think people are fantasizing or smoking something if they think Joe Biden's going to call Hillary Clinton up and say, 'This is what we want you to do.'
The good part is Clinton will be out of NY State.
Maybe we can get someone who cares about NY and not about themselves.

I hope this is not an indication of Obama being weak.

As a side note:
GM sells more hybrid cars than any other auto maker.

GM sold more cars than anyone last year.

GM has Motor Trend car of the year, Cadillac
CTS.
And GM had Motor Trend truck of the year, Chevy.

GM has as high or higher quality than any other auto company, import or domestic.

The problem is, GM
has about a million people in the United States that
rely on General Motors for health insurance, 442,000 of them retirees.
The company says it spent $3.3 billion last year on health care coverage
for those retirees and their dependents.
GM also has pensions for the same number of retirees.

Ford and Chrysler has the same problem.

Last year, as trade expert Bill Hawkins writes, South Korea exported 700,000 cars to us, while importing 5,000 cars from us.

That’s Asia’s idea of free trade.

How has this Global Economy profited or prospered America?

In the 1950s, we made all our own toys, clothes, shoes, bikes, furniture, motorcycles, cars, cameras, telephones, TVs, etc. You name it. We made it.

Are we better off now that these things are made by foreigners? Are we better off now that we have ceased to be self-sufficient? Are we better off now that the real wages of our workers and median income of our families no longer grow as they once did? Are we better off now that manufacturing, for the first time in U.S. history, employs fewer workers than government?

We no longer build commercial ships. We have but one airplane company, and it outsources. China produces our computers. And if GM goes Chapter 11, America will soon be out of the auto business.

The imports don't have that problem.
They have not been here long enough.

So, for the rest of the year this blog will be
Kliphs- Underground-Light.

This in memory of my sister in-law.
