Weekend News----Economics Crushing Seniors

KN: Update, you wouldn't need QE2 if QE 1 worked, and you wouldn't need QE3 if QE2 worked. None of them worked

Kliphnote: I have been saying this for over two years. Interest rates are low to encourage home buying. But that makes money market low, almost zero(0).  The government is buying bonds making bond rates low also. The reason for QE 1-3 is because Obama's economic plan is NOT working. But QE is helping the stock market. But not the bond and money market. If Obama's economy was working you wouldn't need QE 1-3. Seniors put their money in a safe place, bonds and money market. That's now paying less than the inflation rate. Seniors work their whole lives only to lose their saving. Wake up folks

Brokerage founder Charles Schwab tells Newsmax that if Mitt Romney is elected the economy will “pick up steam” and reverse the “no-growth policy” of President Obama that is crushing seniors with low interest rates.

He also predicts that Obama’s plan to raise taxes on wealthier Americans would not solve even “a fraction” of the problem with the federal budget deficit.

Schwab is founder and chairman of the Charles Schwab Corp., a discount brokerage that has made investing accessible to people around the globe. The San-Francisco-based company was founded in 1971 and now has more than 8 million brokerage accounts.
