USDA worker pressured to resign over race comments
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is standing by its quick decision to oust a black Agriculture Department employee over racially tinged remarks at an NAACP banquet in Georgia, despite evidence that her remarks were misconstrued and growing calls for USDA to reconsider.
Shirley Sherrod, who until Tuesday was the Agriculture Department's director of rural development in Georgia, says the administration caved to political pressure by pushing her to resign for saying that she didn't give a white farmer as much help as she could have 24 years ago, when she worked for a nonprofit group.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack on Tuesday stood by his decision to demand the resignation of a Georgia official over a controversial YouTube clip, though the ex-official claimed afterward that the Obama administration never gave her a chance to tell her side of the story.
Shirley Sherrod, the department's ex-Georgia director of Rural Development, said the White House forced her out after the video surfaced showing her telling a story about how she withheld help to a white farmer in trouble. But she claimed the video omitted key context and that the administration just got scared.
"They were not interested in hearing the truth. No one wanted to hear the truth," she said in a television interview

Video Shows USDA Official Saying She Didn't Give 'Full Force' of Help to White Farmer

Days after the NAACP clashed with Tea Party members over allegations of racism, a video has surfaced showing an Agriculture Department official regaling an NAACP audience with a story about how she withheld help to a white farmer facing bankruptcy -- video that now has forced the official to resign.
Shirley Sherrod, the department's Georgia director of Rural Development, is shown in the clip describing "the first time I was faced with having to help a white farmer save his farm." Sherrod, who is black, claimed the farmer took a long time trying to show he was "superior" to her. The audience laughed as she described how she determined his fate.

Glenn Beck Defends Fired USDA Worker

Fox News host Glenn Beck is coming to the defense of Shirley Sherrod, the USDA official forced to resign after a videotape surfaced of her making what appeared to be racially charged remarks about a white farmer.

On his program Tuesday Beck said Sherrod deserved an opportunity to tell her side of the story before being fired.

"They didn't watch the whole video?" Beck asked. "When was the last time the NAACP didn't give someone the benefit of the doubt right away who was African-American? Again I point out the Black Panthers. Now if she is just relating a story from 1986, to make a point about how her racial perceptions changed, this woman deserves her job back."

PHILADELPHIA, July 19 (UPI) -- U.S. Vice President Joe Biden downplayed his boss's political clout Monday, proclaiming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi the nation's most powerful politician.

Kliphnote:  I just don't understand the hatred toward Palin.
She holds no office. Get over it. You look small.
I can't wait for some atheist to defend the mosque as freedom of religion.
The same that think Nancy Pelosi is great. The same one that said: Unemployment Creates Jobs.
And don't forget the CIA.
Maybe  Joe Biden  is always putting his foot in his mouth. Joe-bidens-14-lies The Botox twins.
KN: The liberals think this photo depicts Palin, WRONG! Fools.
Palin is NOT the Marxist that wants to "Change" America.
Guess who is.
