Now for the Slaughter
On the road to Demon Pass, our leader encounters a Baier.
PEGGY NOONAN
Excuse me, but it is embarrassing—really, embarrassing to our country—that the president of the United States has again put off a state visit to Australia and Indonesia because he's having trouble passing a piece of domestic legislation he's been promising for a year will be passed next week. What an air of chaos this signals to the world. And to do this to Australia of all countries, a nation that has always had America's back and been America's friend.
Thursday's decision followed the most revealing and important broadcast interview of Barack Obama ever. It revealed his primary weakness in speaking of health care, which is a tendency to dodge, obfuscate and mislead. He grows testy when challenged. It revealed what the president doesn't want revealed, which is that he doesn't want to reveal much about his plan. This furtiveness is not helpful in a time of high public anxiety. At any rate, the interview was what such interviews rarely are, a public service. That it occurred at a high-stakes time, with so much on theHow bush league, how undisciplined, how kid's stuff.
And the president was conceding that no, he doesn't know what's in the bill right now. It is still amazing that one year into the debate this could be true.

House Democrats unveil latest changes to $940 billion health bill, move toward vote
According to the CBO, the measure would make insurance available to an estimated 95 percent of non-elderly citizens by dramatically expanding Medicaid, the government health program for the poor, and offering tax credits to an estimated 24 million Americans who would otherwise find it difficult to afford coverage.
The program would be paid for by slicing nearly $500 billion from Medicare and other federal health programs, particularly a privately operated insurance plan known as Medicare Advantage. The cost of expanding coverage would exceed $200 billion a year by 2019, the CBO said. But new revenue in the package, combined with savings from program cuts, would outpace the cost of coverage, reducing the federal deficit by $138 billion over the next 10 years. The savings would continue to accumulate in the decade thereafter, the CBO said, eventually slicing around $1.2 trillion from the nation's budget gap.
NEW HEALTH BILL: EVEN MORE MEDICARE CUTS
More Than $520 Billion Cut From Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Hospice, Home Health Programs, Medicare Advantage, And Much More…Kliphnote: Still cutting $500 Billion from Medicare to pay for Obamacare. Unbelievable!
Just not right to take money from retirees who worked their whole life to pay for someone who
has not worked as long.
They will only vote if they have enough votes to pass it.
$940 Billion for health care. But it will save $200 Billion in nine years.
More BS! It's saved, not a surplus. Wake up. Let's see how they prove that.
The same way they saved jobs. As we lose jobs.
Idaho first to sign law aimed at health care plan
BOISE, Idaho — Idaho took the lead in a growing, nationwide fight against health care overhaul Wednesday when its governor became the first to sign a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government if residents are forced to buy health insurance.Similar legislation is pending in 37 other states.
Constitutional law experts say the movement is mostly symbolic because federal laws supersede those of the states.
Obama signs $17.6 billion jobs bill
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama signed into law a $17.6 billion jobs bill on Thursday and sounded an optimistic note about the U.S. economy, saying it may soon begin adding jobs instead of losing them. The legislation would exempt businesses from paying the 6.2 percent payroll tax on new employees who had previously been out of work. Employers would also get a $1,000 tax credit if those workers were still on the job a year later.Kliphnote: An employer will not hire someone just for a tax break.
They have to have work for them. They still would have to pay them.

EDITORIAL: Obama surrenders gulf oil to Moscow
The Russians are coming - to drill in our own backyard
The Obama administration is poised to ban offshore oil drilling on the outer continental shelf until 2012 or beyond. Meanwhile, Russia is making a bold strategic leap to begin drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. While the United States attempts to shift gears to alternative fuels to battle the purported evils of carbon emissions, Russia will erect oil derricks off the Cuban coast.
Obama Backs Senators Immigration Overhaul Outline
Amnesty For Illegals?
President Barack Obama is backing an immigration bill outline drafted by two senators that says illegal immigrants must admit they broke the law to become citizens.
Obama says in a statement that the outline of a bill Sen. Chuck Schumer and Sen. Lindsey Graham are crafting addresses border security and demands accountability from illegal immigrants and employers who hire them.
Kliphnote: How many other country's in the world give amnesty to illegals?
If anyone was an answer tell me.

Kliphnote: I have noticed left handed people have a more out going personality.
But when it comes to doing any work they are slackers.
I have worked with many left handed people and it seems it was always the same,
good for BS but not much work.
Is that why many leaders are left handed?
Great at talking as long as they don't have lift a finger.
Is they why many politician's are left handed?PS. Palin has balanced a budget. And the state Palin came from is doing just fine.Thank you.
Obama NEVER has balanced a budget. EVER!
I just get a kick out of the liberals twisting for the facts.
And Palin quit in mid term to make some money to fight the frivolous law sues from the left wing nuts. And Palin won each one.
