Nothing wrong with unions, as such. I was a union member for about 40 years.

The problem I found with unions is that they protect the lazy and the screw ups.

I could never understand the union organizing part. Sounds like ACORN.

If people are happy with their jobs why push the union on them.

If they are unhappy, call the union. Tell them they want to join.

Even some of the organizers were not happy organizing.

Like the time they tried to organize an oil change place

that had 5 people working.

Card Check will send more jobs the Mexico and China.

Would the unions go along with reverse Card Check?

That would be 51% agree to drop the union.

The unions are bankrupting states.

Union ask for raises and better pensions. 

The politicians give them what they want

or the union members won't vote for them.

And the union won't endorse or contribute to them.

The states politicians are in a Catch 22.

They are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Seeing most state workers belong to a union.

And the biggest employer in the state is the state government.

But the union doesn't care about the state or the tax payer.

They only care about themselves.

Thats why some workers pensions are based on their last year of work.

What happens is they work all the overtime they can.

There fellow workers allow is because they know their turn will come.

The best thing for the states is to file for bankruptcy.

That way they can open the contract.
 States cost
