Obama's American apology tour?

The Emergence of President Obama's Muslim Roots

June 02, 2009 6:58 PM

ABC News' Jake Tapper and Sunlen Miller report: The other day we heard a comment from a White House aide that never would have been uttered during the primaries or general election campaign.

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama's trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said "the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to -- or before he's been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world -- you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father -- obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago."

Given widespread unease and prejudice against Muslims among Americans, especially in the wake of 9/11, the Obama campaign was perhaps understandably very sensitive during the primaries and general election to downplay the candidate's Muslim roots.

The candidate was even offended when referred to by his initials "BHO," because he considered the use of his middle name, "Hussein," an attempt to frighten voters.

Now he will use it to his advantage, slick!

Obama's upcoming Cairo speech

CAIRO - Al-Qaida's deputy leader on Tuesday criticized President Barack Obama's upcoming speech to the Islamic world in Cairo, saying it will not change the "bloody messages" the U.S. military is sending Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. Al-Qaida has repeatedly lashed out at Obama since he was elected, a move some analysts believe indicates the terrorist organization is worried he will be effective in improving the U.S. image in the Muslim world.

Good luck Israel.
Is this part of Obama's American apology tour?

Tiller Murder Condemned

WASHINGTON - The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the nation's largest pro-life group, today condemned the killing of Dr. George Tiller. The following statement may be attributed to NRLC Executive Director, David N. O'Steen, Ph.D.:

National Right to Life extends its sympathies to Dr. Tiller's family over this loss of life.

Further, the National Right to Life Committee unequivocally condemns any such acts of violence regardless of motivation. The pro-life movement works to protect the right to life and increase respect for human life. The unlawful use of violence is directly contrary to that goal.

Just because Tiller performed late term abortions and has performed 60,000 abortions and made One million dollars a year doing it, that does NOT justify murdering him. Just one far right nut case.

Obama "shocked and outraged" by Tiller murder

President Obama has weighed in on the murder of Kansas abortion provider George Tiller. In a statement released Sunday evening, Obama said, "I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."

Police: Recruiting Center Gunman Targeted Military

A man with "political and religious motives" killed a soldier just out of basic training and wounded another Monday in a targeted attack on a military recruiting center, police said. The shootings were not believed to be part of a broader scheme.

A police report based on an interview with the suspect says Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, told police he observed two soldiers in uniform, drove up to the recruiting center and started shooting.

Not a word from Obama on military recruiting center shooting, only the abortion Doctor shooting.

Sotomayor counters GOP critics over bias claims

WASHINGTON – Judge Sonia Sotomayor on Tuesday countered Republican charges that she would let her background dictate her rulings as Americans signaled a favorable first impression of President Barack Obama's first Supreme Court choice.

Sotomayor had a tough life, she went to private schools her whole life.
Sotomayor graduated with an A.B., summa cum laude, from Princeton University in 1976,(age 22) and received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1979, where she was an editor at the Yale Law Journal.Wiki.
She became a lawyer making $200,000 a year.
I know some white males that has had a far tougher life than she had.
But you don't hear about them.

Obama said"And our companies are investing in breakthrough technologies that hold the promise of new vehicles that will help America end its addiction to foreign oil.
Did you get the part about end its addiction to foreign oil? If he was so worried about foreign oil he would be drilling for oil here in the USA, but will not. His left wing base tells him not to. Just a line of BS.

Obama said to be open to taxing health benefits

President Barack Obama is leaving the door open to taxing health care benefits, something he campaigned hard against while running for president, according to senators who met with him Tuesday.
All I can is "I told you so"
