President Obama

President Obama.

You say what? They haven't even had the convention yet. No one has
been officially nominated, for either party.
And we haven't had the election. So how can I say "President Obama"?
Well Mr. Obama thinks he is the president.

Obama goes to Europe and gives a speech like a president.
I don't recall another presidential candidate,
ever, giving a speech
in Berlin Germany,
or giving a speech anywhere.
Yes, candidates meet with world leaders.
But you don't give presidential speeches
on foreign soil unless you are the president.
Europeans don't vote in US elections.
He gave the speech because he thinks he is going to be the president.

A senior Obama's foreign policy adviser asserted that "When the
president of the United States goes and gives a speech [overseas],
it is not a political speech or a political rally."

"But he is not president of the United States," a reporter noted.
But they think he is.

President Obama has already ordered his staff to put together his
transition team to prepare for his move into the White House.

Maybe President Obama hasn't noticed, but McCain and Obama
are tied in
the latest poll.

"A plan by president Barack Obama to redistribute American wealth on a
global level is moving forward in the Senate.
It follows Marxist theology — from each according to his ability, to
each according to his need.
And if the Global Poverty Act (S. 2433) he has sponsored becomes law,
which is almost certain if he wins in November, we're also going to be
taxpayers of the world.
What ever happened to the UN's war on poverty? Why is always the US?
Just can't wait for the cost over-run on that.

(Here is another typical Democrat: In 2004, Sen. Hillary Clinton,
D-N.Y., said:
"We're going to take things away from you
on behalf of the common good."
She could have easily quoted Karl Marx, who said: "From each according to his
ability, to each according to his need.")

Obama said: "We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and
keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times . . . and then just expect
that other countries are going to say OK."
Why do you worry what other countries think?

President Obama flip flops on NAFTA. He says he would renegotiate it,
but his advisers tell Canada he will not change NAFTA.
Maybe he should look at the facts.

Since the signing of NAFTA in 1994, total trade between Canada and the
United States has grown by 250%, U.S. employment has increased by 25
million jobs, and U.S. manufacturing output has increased by 63%.
He can't make up his mind.

President Obama does not like free trade, even with our allied
countries. Maybe he should talk to them before he talks to
Ahmadinejad.
But he will not.
He would rather give speeches in Europe. Maybe he should look at the facts.

National Association of Manufacturers noted that we now sell more
manufactured goods than we buy from all those countries we have
free-trade agreements with.

More flip flopping from President Obama:
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack
Obama said Friday he would be willing to support limited additional
offshore oil drilling if that's what it takes to enact a comprehensive
policy to foster fuel-efficient autos and develop alternate energy
sources.

I agree we should have alternate energy sources.
But that may be decades away.

In the mean time, drilling offshore will be a bridge until than.
If OPEC stopped selling us oil what would we do? War?
What harm does offshore drilling do?
Think about it.

Shifting from his previous opposition to expanded offshore drilling,
the Illinois senator told a Florida newspaper he could get behind a
compromise with Republicans and oil companies to prevent gridlock over
energy.
http://apnews.myway.com//article/20080802/D929RLO00.html

But president Obama's Democratic party did it again, no vote on
offshore oil drilling.
Speaker
Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Democrats adjourned the House
and
turned off the light and killed the microphones, but Republicans
are still on the floor talking gas prices. Pelosi's refusal to
schedule a vote allowing offshore drilling is hurting the American
economy.

(
Nancy Pelosi has to be the worse Speaker of the House, EVER!
What has congress done since Pelosi has been in charge?
Nothing meaningful!
Pelosi is more like the Dictator of the House.)

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats would rather go on their five week
summer vacation than deal with higher gas prices for the American people.
Nancy Pelosi, meanwhile, is busy hawking her miserably performing
book, currently ,1726 on Amazon.com.

But you know what I think the real reason is?
She doesn't want the vote to make it to the Senate.
If it did President Obama would have to vote on it.
But that may anger his base.
So the American people will pay higher gas prices, forever.

President Obama video: http://www.breitbart.tv/html/142113.html
"We could save all the oil that they're talking about getting off
drilling if everybody was just inflating their tires and getting
regular tune-ups. You'd actually save just as much.

The U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday formally apologized for the
U.S. government's role in slavery and the Jim Crow laws which legalized
segregation for a century after the emancipation of slaves in 1865.
In addition to the apology for "the misdeeds committed against
African-Americans" who were held in bondage and lived under
segregation, the House also voted to end Affirmative Action policies
which "treat black people as if they're not as capable, intelligent or
resourceful as those of other races."

I'm taking a "wait and see" approach on Congress' treatment going forward to
Affirmative Action.
But do will still have quotas? Isn't that that the same.

Did President
Barack Obama call for "reparations?"
President Obama said "I personally would want our tragic history, or
the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged"
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/08/reparations_rising.html

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama opposes offering reparations to the descendants of slaves, putting him at odds with some black groups and leaders.

Harper's Magazine has created an estimate that the total of
reparations due is over
100 trillion dollars, based on 222,505,049
hours of forced labor between 1619 and 1865, with a compounded
interest of 6%[6]. Should all or part of this amount be paid to the
descendants of slaves in the United States, the current U.S.
government would only pay a fraction of that cost, since it has been
in existence only since 1789.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reparations_for_slavery

This has been talked about for years.
Now I agree we should pay anyone who was a slave.
But how many are still alive? None.

That would create more racism. Just what we don't need.

And don't you find it interesting that President Obama is saying that
McCain will use the race card, which he has
not done.
But president Obama has brought it up first, but that is not playing
the race card.
Very sly on Obama's part. Accuse your opponent of playing
the race card even when he has not.
Same old line.

But no matter what happens, President Obama is doing what is best for
the people, all people. Right?
The audacity!
