Over the weekend the Univision network broke major news in the Fast and
Furious gunwalking scandal. They found 57 previously unreported guns
used in crimes by Mexican cartels, but ABC, CBS and NBC have yet to
report the Spanish-language network’s findings.
There were zero mentions on Sunday night’s ABC's World News and CBS's Evening News (NBC's Nightly News
was pre-empted by Ryder Cup coverage) or on any of Monday’s morning
shows. The blackout on ABC’s broadcasts is particularly confounding
since they have an excerpt from Univision's September 30 report on ABC's
official Web site. (video after the jump)
Two years ago this month, a Guantanamo Bay
military jury sentenced a Canadian-born al Qaeda terrorist to 40 years
in prison. Omar Khadr was convicted of war crimes in Afghanistan,
including the killing, during an ambush, of a 28-year-old U.S. Special
Forces medic named Christopher Speer, the father of two young children.
But what the jury didn't know was that, even as they were deliberating
the charges of "murder in violation of the law of war, attempted murder
in violation of the law of war, conspiracy, providing material support
for terrorism, and spying," Pentagon prosecutors had already struck a
plea-bargain...
Although a CNNMoney survey had economists by a three-to-one margin
saying a Mitt Romney presidency would be better for the economy than
another term of President Obama, the report's title said they
"reluctantly" chose Romney.
"And many of those picking Romney were more critical of, as opposed to
excited about, the Republican challenger's plans," the report read.
Would CNNMoney have reported that economists "reluctantly" picked
President Obama by a three-to-one margin
?
