Short Story

Once upon a time--The end of a nation

There was a nation that was the envy of the world.
It was the richest nation the world has ever seen.
This nation gave more money and aid to poor people
and poor countries than any nation in history.
This nation fought wars to free other nations people.

Their own poor people lived better than most middle
class people in the rest of the world.
Only in a rich nation can the poor be overweight.

But some were not satisfied.
They thought the rich had too much money.
So this nation elected a sweet talker who
promised to take money away from rich people
and rich, successful company’s and give the poor
that money.

But the poor did not pay much in federal income tax.
 The rich paid most
of the income taxes.

When the rich had less money they would not
hire any more workers.
The poor could not find jobs.

As less people worked, less money was paid in
taxes.
This nation was going broke trying to give money and
food to their own people.
This once rich nation could no longer give money to
poor people and poor nations.

There was widespread upheaval.

This once rich nation was no longer.
And the world suffered.

Think about this when you vote in November.
